Mirror Gloss wax polish is specially created for professional bootmakers and shoe shiners seeking to obtain an impeccable gloss in a faster and easier way.
The unique formula comprises some of nature’s hardest and shiniest waxes. The addition of turpentine oil, a naturally greasy solvent, hastens drying between successive coats.

Apply Mirror Gloss to obtain a high-gloss finish to the toe or heel of the shoe.

1. Use Mirror Gloss on clean shoes.
2. Apply Mirror Gloss to shoes with a cotton cloth tightened around your second and third fingers. Rub in a circular motion using light pressure. Water can assist with the application. We recommend a water dispenser to ensure only a small amount is applied to your cloth.
3. Gently buff the leather in a circular motion with a clean part of the cloth to remove any fogging or cloudy residue.
4. Repeat the above process to enhance the shine. Allow wax to dry between coats to ensure optimal layering the glossy waxes.
5. Use the Polishing Glove for a final polish.

Mirror Gloss is a finishing product intended to obtain high shine to shoes, rather than a cleaning product.

If your shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, the leather must be cleaned before applying Mirror Gloss. We recommend Saphir Réno Cleaner. Test on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire shoe.

If your shoes are regularly cleaned, we recommend using the Lotion or the Cleanser which will moisturize and gently clean the leather pores without degrading the patina.

Before using Mirror Gloss, we advise waxing your shoes by alternating their care with Crème 1925 to nourish and moisturise the leather, and Pâte de Luxe to produce a deeper shine.

We also recommend applying these products with the Pommadier Brush. Its design facilitates an easy and thorough application of wax to the targeted areas.

Our famous Pâte De Luxe wax polish combines a selection of premium oils and waxes, including turpentine spirit (natural pine extract), beeswax, carnauba wax, and six other waxes with nourishing, protecting, softening and shining qualities.

Pâte De Luxe, one of Saphir Medaille d’Or’s most iconic products, is specially formulated to obtain a ‘glaçage’ or ‘mirror shine’ on the toecap of your shoes.

The pigments have been chosen for their coloring and penetrating properties as well as their transparency. Pâte De Luxe wax polish allows you to obtain an incomparable patina by applying different shades of color to the leather surface.

Renowned shoemakers use this formulation during the shoe finishing process so by applying Pâte De Luxe as part of your shoe care routine, you will help prolong the optimal appearance of your shoes.

Pâte De Luxe wax polish is ideal for use on smooth leather shoes or boots.

The Pâte De Luxe wax polish formula is composed of three main types of natural waxes:
– Animal: Beeswax
– Vegetable: Carnauba wax (from the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree)
– Mineral: Montan wax
Turpentine spirit, which is extracted from pine trees grown in Southern Europe, is another star ingredient of this special formula. It thoroughly degreases the leather and enhances the absorption of the waxes. The spirit evaporates, leaving the rich natural waxes to protect and shine.

- Brush the item to remove any dust or dirt.
- Apply a small amount of Pâte De Luxe with a cotton chamois cloth or the Spreading Brush to reach the welt seams and enable nourishment and protection of this delicate area.
- Massage gently to allow Pâte de Luxe to nourish and provide maximum protection to the leather.
- Apply one or two coats of Pâte de Luxe to the entire shoe.
- Leave to dry for five minutes between coats.
- Gently polish the leather with a bristle brush or a wool glove.
- For a high-gloss finish, apply additional coats to the toe and heel. Avoid over-application to the vamp of the shoe because excessive movement can crack the wax coating.

1 - Prepare your leather
If your shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, clean the leather with Reno Cleaner
If your shoes are regularly cleaned and well maintained, we recommend Renovateur Cream, which moisturizes and gently cleans the leather pores without degrading the patina.
2 - Nourish with Crème 1925
We recommend applying Crème 1925 after treating the leather with Pâte de Luxe. Crème 1925 contains softer waxes and nourishing shea butter.
3- Glazing with Mirror Gloss
To quickly obtain a ‘glaçage’ or ‘mirror shine’, use Mirror Gloss. Mirror Gloss contains naturally harder waxes necessary for achieving a high-shine to leather shoes.

A nutritious leather cream, Crème 1925 is formulated with seven different waxes, turpentine spirit and shea butter oil. The leather absorbs the nutrients from the cream and the waxes protect and add shine.

The high concentration of pigments in Crème 1925 produces a rich colour tint. The pigments work to rejuvenate the leather while also providing transparency to the original patina.

Crème 1925 is suitable for use on smooth leather shoes.

Waxes: Beeswax, Carnauba, Montan
Shea Butter oil
Turpentine spirit

Ensure all dirt and dust is removed from the shoes. Buff shoes with a brush.

Apply Crème 1925 sparingly using a cotton cloth or the Saphir Médaille d’Or Spreading Brush

Massage into the leather in a circular motion, enabling the cream to penetrate and nourish the leather. This will ensure a good layer of protection. Leave it to dry for one hour.

Polish leather with a bristle brush then finish with a wool cloth or glove.

Once a base coat of Crème 1925 has been applied, simply re-buff the shoe following wear to maintain the shine.

If your leather is dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, clean it with Cleaning Lotion or Reno Cleaner.

When selecting a color cream to match your leather, it may not be possible to find a perfect match. The color pigments in Crème 1925 enhance the existing color by providing a transparent color tint. Opting for a lighter color minimizes darkening of the leather and enables the existing color to dominate. Darker tints can create a more nuanced patina.

Reno Cleaner removes excess color without compromising the leather.

Test Crème 1925 on an inconspicuous area to assess the finish.

The wax softener improves the ability of creams and polishes to be absorbed by the leather.

The texture of polishes like the Mirror Gloss, the Pate de Luxe, the Traveler's Pate de Luxe and the Cream 1925 can be adapted to personal preferences and individual shoe shining technique.

Shake the gasless spray

For wax:
Spray either directly in the shoe polish box or on your rag according to the specific techniques to each shoe shiner.

Brushes:
Spray directly on the bristles of the brush, then rub it on a cotton cloth.
Repeat this operation until the cotton cloth is relatively lightly soiled by the brush.
