The Cleaner can be used on all smooth leathers as well as oiled and greased leathers. It can also be used to reliably clean the white soles of sneakers.

Apply the Cleaner on a clean and dry cloth. Rub the leather in circular motions while changing the used area of the cloth to not spread any dirt. Allow the shoe to dry afterwards for at least 15 minutes. Repeat if necessary.

Test before the application on a less visible part of the shoe or item you want to clean.

Its use is particularly recommended for cleaning delicate smooth leathers used in leather goods. It also allows for cleaning shoes while preserving their patinas and the base of a mirror shine.

The incorporation of natural Montan wax into the formula will deposit a fine layer of protective and shiny wax after cleaning. After its application, the cleaned pores of the leather will be ready to optimally receive pastes, creams, or Saphir Médaille d'Or maintenance lotions, and the shine of the creams will be further enhanced.

The Cleanser is suitable for smooth leather, oiled leather, oiled nubuck or cordovan leather. 

Montan Wax

Ensure all dirt and dust is removed from the shoes. Buff shoes with a brush. For a more in-depth clean, use Saphir Médaille d’Or's Reno Cleaner.

Shake the bottle.

Apply the Cleanser sparingly using a cotton cloth. Massage into the leather in a circular motion.

Leave it to dry for 15 min.

Once the product has been applied, simply buff the goods with a cotton cloth.

Feel free to repeat the process; its unique formula allows for controlling the depth of cleaning. A light and quick application will help preserve the glaze and patina. Repeating the application with slower circular motions and allowing the product to penetrate deeper will enable you, if desired, to remove all waxes.

When applying the Cleanser, it is necessary to use the cotton cloth, ensuring the cleanliness of the material during each new application, to not stain the leather with a dirty cloth.

Gold Medal Sapphire Fat contains basic animal and vegetable ingredients. Rich in mink and salmon oils, this conditioner deeply nourishes and protects, especially against drying, hardening and cracking.

Apply it to smooth, oiled leather or oiled nubuck. Its waterproofing qualities make it suitable for hiking, sports and outdoor shoes. Dubbin Grease is also recommended for leather insoles to prevent excessive moisture absorption.

Avoid applying too much fat at once, a small amount will work for a long time. Don't forget to brush your leather to remove any excess product. Dubbin Grease can darken some leathers, test it on a hidden area before applying it to the entire surface.
Above all, don't forget to let your shoes rest, so that they can absorb the grease overnight or longer before waxing or glazing them again. Dubbin leather will be a little more difficult to glaze than smooth leathers.

1. Apply the Grease sparingly with a cotton cloth. Use the Saphir Médaille d'Or pommadier brush to reach the welt seams and you will improve the penetration of the product and the waterproofing of your shoes.
2. Rub the pores of the leather in circular motions to work the product into the bottom layer of the skin.
3. Allow the grease to soak into the leather for 10 minutes.
4. Brush with a bristle brush to remove any excess material.

Saphir’s Leather Lotion is based on beeswax, lanolin and mink oil. It is ideal for non-aggressive cleaning of smooth leathers. Rich in beeswax and lanolin, Saphir Leather Lotion is valued for its nourishing, rehydrating, softening, protective and shining properties.

Leather Lotion can be used on all smooth leather products including bags, belts, clothing and shoes. For unprotected aniline leather such as box calf (calfskin) and nappa, we recommend Nappa Leather Balm Médaille d’Or.

1. Carefully brush the item to remove any dust or dirt.
2. Apply Leather Lotion with a soft cotton cloth. Use firm pressure to massage the product into the leather.
3. Leave to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Polish leather with a cotton cloth or a wool glove.

Test Leather Lotion on an inconspicuous area to assess the finish.

The formula of the Gold Medal Sapphire Macadamia Lotion is created from Macadamia oil, beeswax and lanolin. Thanks to its cleansing properties, Macadamia Lotion is specially designed to gently clean all smooth leather items. Thanks to its rich concentration of Macadamia oil, beeswax and lanolin, Macadamia Lotion is known for its nourishing, rehydrating, softening, protective and waxing properties.

Macadamia Lotion can be used on all smooth leathers including shoes, bags, belts and clothing. To protect aniline leathers such as calf or nappa leather, we recommend the Gold Medal Sapphire Nappa Cream.

1. Gently brush the item to remove any dust or dirt.
2. Apply Macadamia Lotion with a soft cotton pad. Massage with strong pressure so that the lotion penetrates the leather.
3. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes.
4. Polish with a cotton cloth or wool glove.

Mink Oil is a non-greasy formula which thoroughly rejuvenates leather by providing nourishment, softness and protection. Derived from nature, its purity ensures it can be used on the finest leathers.

Mink Oil replenishes any leather which requires a natural, non-greasy finish, such as small leather goods, fine smooth leather shoes, oiled leather and oiled nubuck.

1. Ensure all dust and dirt is removed from the item.
2. Apply Mink Oil sparingly with a white cotton cloth in a small circular motion and leave for at least one hour to allow it to penetrate.
3. Polish the leather to remove any excess with a Saphir Médaille d’Or Sheepskin Polishing Glove.

Reapply Mink Oil often. Frequent light application is better than infrequent heavy application. Mink Oil may darken some leathers such as nappa so test on an inconspicuous area before use.
Always apply to clean leather to prevent the dirt combining with Mink Oil and penetrating more deeply into the leather. If required, clean the leather with a product from the Smooth Leather range cleaner.

Mirror Gloss wax polish is specially created for professional bootmakers and shoe shiners seeking to obtain an impeccable gloss in a faster and easier way.
The unique formula comprises some of nature’s hardest and shiniest waxes. The addition of turpentine oil, a naturally greasy solvent, hastens drying between successive coats.

Apply Mirror Gloss to obtain a high-gloss finish to the toe or heel of the shoe.

1. Use Mirror Gloss on clean shoes.
2. Apply Mirror Gloss to shoes with a cotton cloth tightened around your second and third fingers. Rub in a circular motion using light pressure. Water can assist with the application. We recommend a water dispenser to ensure only a small amount is applied to your cloth.
3. Gently buff the leather in a circular motion with a clean part of the cloth to remove any fogging or cloudy residue.
4. Repeat the above process to enhance the shine. Allow wax to dry between coats to ensure optimal layering the glossy waxes.
5. Use the Polishing Glove for a final polish.

Mirror Gloss is a finishing product intended to obtain high shine to shoes, rather than a cleaning product.

If your shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, the leather must be cleaned before applying Mirror Gloss. We recommend Saphir Réno Cleaner. Test on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire shoe.

If your shoes are regularly cleaned, we recommend using the Lotion or the Cleanser which will moisturize and gently clean the leather pores without degrading the patina.

Before using Mirror Gloss, we advise waxing your shoes by alternating their care with Crème 1925 to nourish and moisturise the leather, and Pâte de Luxe to produce a deeper shine.

We also recommend applying these products with the Pommadier Brush. Its design facilitates an easy and thorough application of wax to the targeted areas.

Our famous Pâte De Luxe wax polish combines a selection of premium oils and waxes, including turpentine spirit (natural pine extract), beeswax, carnauba wax, and six other waxes with nourishing, protecting, softening and shining qualities.

Pâte De Luxe, one of Saphir Medaille d’Or’s most iconic products, is specially formulated to obtain a ‘glaçage’ or ‘mirror shine’ on the toecap of your shoes.

The pigments have been chosen for their coloring and penetrating properties as well as their transparency. Pâte De Luxe wax polish allows you to obtain an incomparable patina by applying different shades of color to the leather surface.

Renowned shoemakers use this formulation during the shoe finishing process so by applying Pâte De Luxe as part of your shoe care routine, you will help prolong the optimal appearance of your shoes.

Pâte De Luxe wax polish is ideal for use on smooth leather shoes or boots.

The Pâte De Luxe wax polish formula is composed of three main types of natural waxes:
– Animal: Beeswax
– Vegetable: Carnauba wax (from the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree)
– Mineral: Montan wax
Turpentine spirit, which is extracted from pine trees grown in Southern Europe, is another star ingredient of this special formula. It thoroughly degreases the leather and enhances the absorption of the waxes. The spirit evaporates, leaving the rich natural waxes to protect and shine.

- Brush the item to remove any dust or dirt.
- Apply a small amount of Pâte De Luxe with a cotton chamois cloth or the Spreading Brush to reach the welt seams and enable nourishment and protection of this delicate area.
- Massage gently to allow Pâte de Luxe to nourish and provide maximum protection to the leather.
- Apply one or two coats of Pâte de Luxe to the entire shoe.
- Leave to dry for five minutes between coats.
- Gently polish the leather with a bristle brush or a wool glove.
- For a high-gloss finish, apply additional coats to the toe and heel. Avoid over-application to the vamp of the shoe because excessive movement can crack the wax coating.

1 - Prepare your leather
If your shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, clean the leather with Reno Cleaner
If your shoes are regularly cleaned and well maintained, we recommend Renovateur Cream, which moisturizes and gently cleans the leather pores without degrading the patina.
2 - Nourish with Crème 1925
We recommend applying Crème 1925 after treating the leather with Pâte de Luxe. Crème 1925 contains softer waxes and nourishing shea butter.
3- Glazing with Mirror Gloss
To quickly obtain a ‘glaçage’ or ‘mirror shine’, use Mirror Gloss. Mirror Gloss contains naturally harder waxes necessary for achieving a high-shine to leather shoes.

Strong cleaner to remove even the most persistent stains and prepare the leather for other products.

Reno Cleaner can be used on smooth leathers, oiled leathers, greased leathers, oiled nubuck and waxed nubuck. It can also be used to clean the edges of rubber soles and sneaker soles.

Apply Reno Cleaner on a clean and dry cloth. Rub the leather in circular motions while changing the used area of the cloth to not spread any dirt. Allow the shoe to dry afterwards for at least 15 minutes. Repeat if necessary.

Test before the application on a less visible part of the shoe or item you want to clean.

Certain finishes on leather can be removed if exposed to excessive cleaning with this Leather Cleaner.

Renovateur Crème is a gentle water-based formula that softens and nourishes leather.

Renovateur Crème is suitable to be used on fine smooth leather, including box calf (calfskin), goat, and special leathers such as cordovan. It can be used on a wide array of leather goods such as leather bags, jackets, shoes, and book covers.

1. Prepare your leather
If your shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, clean the leather with our Reno Cleaner.
If your shoes are regularly cleaned and well maintained, we recommend the Renovateur Cream (ref. 1123), which moisturises and gently cleans the leather pores without removing the patina.
2. Revive with Crème 1925
We recommend applying Crème 1925 after treating the leather with the Renovateur Cream. Crème 1925 contains softer waxes and nourishing shea butter and also refreshes the color of the leather with genuine pigments.
3. Glazing with Mirror Gloss (ref. 1013)
To quickly obtain a ‘glaçage’ or ‘mirror shine’, use Mirror Gloss. Mirror Gloss contains naturally harder waxes necessary for achieving a high-shine to leather shoes.

A nutritious leather cream, Crème 1925 is formulated with seven different waxes, turpentine spirit and shea butter oil. The leather absorbs the nutrients from the cream and the waxes protect and add shine.

The high concentration of pigments in Crème 1925 produces a rich colour tint. The pigments work to rejuvenate the leather while also providing transparency to the original patina.

Crème 1925 is suitable for use on smooth leather shoes.

Massage into the leather in a circular motion, enabling the cream to penetrate and nourish the leather. This will ensure a good layer of protection. Leave it to dry for one hour.

Polish leather with a bristle brush then finish with a wool cloth or glove.

Once a base coat of Crème 1925 has been applied, simply re-buff the shoe following wear to maintain the shine.

If your leather is dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin deposits, clean it with Cleaning Lotion or Reno Cleaner.

When selecting a color cream to match your leather, it may not be possible to find a perfect match. The color pigments in Crème 1925 enhance the existing color by providing a transparent color tint. Opting for a lighter color minimizes darkening of the leather and enables the existing color to dominate. Darker tints can create a more nuanced patina.

Reno Cleaner removes excess color without compromising the leather.

Test Crème 1925 on an inconspicuous area to assess the finish.

Sole Guard is formulated with plant-based oils and conditioning agents to nourish, soften, and help protect leather soles against water penetration. Developed in collaboration with shoemakers, its composition slows down moisture absorption and helps extend the lifespan of leather outsoles. Even the finest leather soles benefit from added protection. Sole Guard is a non-slip treatment that does not mark floors.

Sole Guard is suitable for use on all varieties and qualities of leather outsoles.

1. Apply Sole Guard sparingly with a dry cotton chamois cloth.
2. Allow to dry for one hour then reapply if desired. Wipe off any excess liquid not absorbed into the leather.
3. Leave the second application to dry for a minimum of six hours or overnight, if possible.

We suggest using Sole Guard at least every three months.

Super Invulner Spray is a highly-concentrated water repellent containing fluoridated resin. It protects against rain, snow, dirt, grease, food and drink stains. Formulated without silicone, it contains a non-aggressive and non-greasy solvent to avoid damaging or discoloring fragile surfaces. It is suitable for use on the most expensive and delicate materials such as Nappa, Suede and Silk.

Super Invulner Spray can be used on all types of leather including smooth, nappa, box calf (calf skin), veal, suede and nubuck. It is also suitable for cotton, silk, satin, velvet and TEX materials.

1. Carefully brush the item to remove dirt and dust. If necessary, clean it before with the appropriate product from the Yellow Door Shoes range.
2. Shake the can of Super Invulner Spray before use.
3. Hold the can 20 cm of .79 inches away from the item and spray in a well-ventilated area. Do not saturate the item.
4. Leave to dry for 30 minutes.

For optimal protection, treat the item regularly, particularly after exposure to the elements.
Do not forget in always protecting with Super Invulner your new item in order to prevent any damage in case the manufacturer did not treat them previously.

The texture of polishes like the Mirror Gloss, the Pate de Luxe, the Traveler's Pate de Luxe and the Cream 1925 can be adapted to personal preferences and individual shoe shining technique.

For wax:
Spray either directly in the shoe polish box or on your rag according to the specific techniques to each shoe shiner.

Brushes:
Spray directly on the bristles of the brush, then rub it on a cotton cloth.
Repeat this operation until the cotton cloth is relatively lightly soiled by the brush.
